10月8日シンポジウム【「複言語主義」に基づく新しい英語教育】 開催
OBJECTIVE.
コロナ禍に象徴されるように、変化が激しく将来の予測が困難な現代のグローバル社会において、外国語教育にも新しい役割が求められています。その一つが、複言語主義に基づく言語能力の発達と価値観の理解です。複言語主義とは、一人の人間が（たとえ部分的であっても）複数の言語の能力を持つこと、また、コミュニケーションのための言語を自分の第一言語だけに限定しない価値観を有することを意味します。本シンポジウムでは、複言語主義に関する研究で国際的に著名な2名の研究者を招き、複言語主義に基づいた新しい英語教育について考えます。

講師
| Steve Marshall 氏 Steve Marshall is Professor of Faculty of Education, Simon Fraser University, Canada. He researches the interplays between plurilingualism, academic literacy, and pedagogy in higher education, employing mainly qualitative/ethnographic research methods. He is currently researching teaching and learning, and academic writing, across the disciplines in Canadian higher education, with a focus on students who speak/write English as an additional language. His most recent research has focused on the use of languages other than English (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and Punjabi) as tools for developing academic literacy in English across the disciplines, as well as instructors' pedagogical responses to linguistic diversity in their classes. |
| 土屋 慶子 氏 横浜市立大学大学院都市社会文化研究科准教授。研究テーマは、医療・教育現場における会話のマルチモーダル分析。主な共編著書に、Content and Language Integrated Learning in Spanish and Japanese Contexts: Policy, practice and pedagogy (with Maria Dolores Perez Murillo, 2019, Palgrave)、English as a Lingua Franca in Japan: Towards multilingual practices (with Mayu Konakahara, 2020, Palgrave)などがある。 |
